november
i feel so much has transpired since i last postedi feel a bit 'out of the loop'
- my hard drive fried [fortunately, most things finally have been recovered] and i am trying to organize my new computer - sitting here a long time now wears me out! [i can remember not so long ago i'd sit here 'til 4 am...]
- we had our new furnace installed [even the top floor is about 69/70 degrees now!]
- mike has sleep apnea and has faithfully been wearing his new breathing contraption at night [he does not snore at all anymore!]
- the garage sales are over, the garage is almost cleared out [diabetes will make one more pick up this week] and mike will soon be able to start insulating & drywalling there - yehaw!
- the weather has been phenomenal - but, really - why is it so warm in november?
- i'm reading pema's 'start where you are'
- my mind has been a race track lately...i don't ever feel enough is being 'done' >> around the house, with teaching the kids, with my health/mindset
- i did get my braces removed...so i'm only wearing a retainer at night!
- i've almost convinced mike to buy some sort of freezer - be it a 2nd fridge, or a stand alone freezer - the dog food is taking over the small freezer on the fridge
- i have a bit of angst with this avian flu business
- we had a taped message of mike's father on the answering machine...it was erased this week accidentally :( [he died in june this year] i felt so upset that the message was gone...it was something i could still listen to and could remember him by, it makes me so very sad :(
i've missed it 'here'
i wonder if, however, it is an addiction for me...like so many other things i do
i've been listening to some music again lately
some songs that i hear...i feel that the message hits home so hard
sometimes i can listen and cry along with the song as i sing it
other times...i must turn the station
i feel all discombobulated...
everything seems so out of order
our family eagerly awaits the birth of my niece's baby
my sister will be so happy to have a baby around - her first grandchild
deep breath
so many thoughts
i'll come back tomorrow and write some more...now seems like a good time to rest
